Jewel Stewart serves as the Secretary of the Mississippi Cosmetology and Barbering Association (MCBA). A lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast, Jewel has resided in Biloxi for over 50 years.

With a distinguished career spanning nearly five decades, Jewel has been a licensed Cosmetologist for 49 years and a licensed Cosmetology Instructor for 47 years. Her leadership within the industry is extensive; she has been an active member of the Mississippi Cosmetology Association since 1984 and was inducted into the Mississippi Education Committee in 1985. Since 1987, she has served the MCA board in nearly every capacity.

Beyond state leadership, Jewel joined Hair America (the National Educational Committee) in 1994. She has served two terms on the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology and currently holds the position of 1st Vice-President of the Mississippi Cosmetology and Barbering Council.
