Leisa McElreath is a highly distinguished professional in the cosmetology and esthetics industries with over 30 years of experience. Based in the Oxford and Lafayette County area, she holds a comprehensive range of Mississippi licenses, including Master Certifications in both Esthetics and Cosmetology, as well as an Instructor license. As of January 2026, she serves as a Director for the Mississippi Cosmetology and Barbering Association (MCBA) and chairs its Legislative Committee.
Throughout her multifaceted career, Leisa has held numerous leadership roles, including salon owner, para-medical esthetician, and director for fashion shows and beauty pageants. Her deep technical expertise is backed by advanced certifications in laser technology, chemical peels, and medical-grade skincare, with specialized training from organizations such as the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists.
Leisa has a long history of high-level regulatory service, having previously served as President of the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology and as an executive officer for the National Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology (NIC). In early 2026, she was confirmed by the Mississippi Senate to represent the 3rd Supreme Court District on the State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering.
Beyond her professional achievements, Leisa is a dedicated community advocate and educator. She has facilitated sessions for the Look Good…Feel Better program and works closely with state legislators to provide critical education on industry regulations.
