Tyrone McLaurin serves as a Director for the Mississippi Cosmetology and Barbering Association, bringing over two decades of expertise to the industry. A native of Bassfield, Mississippi, Tyrone is a man of God who is defined by his genuine love for people and his commitment to service.

His professional journey began following his graduation from Bassfield High School in 1997, after which he served in the United States Navy until 2000, receiving an Honorable Discharge. Upon returning to Mississippi, he pursued his passion for barbering at Pearl River Community College, earning both his Registered Barber License and Barber Instructor License in 2003. Committed to lifelong learning, he later obtained an Associate of Science Degree with a concentration in Business Marketing and Management in 2015.

As a dedicated educator, Tyrone has mentored numerous students throughout Mississippi. He currently continues his career as an instructor at Pearl River Community College, where he shares his passion for the art of barbering with the next generation of stylists and professionals.
