Debbie Coker currently serves as the Treasurer for the Mississippi Cosmetology and Barbering Association (MCBA), bringing over five decades of industry expertise to the role. A licensed cosmetologist since 1971 and a former salon owner, she transitioned into education in 1993 after earning her instructor's license. Throughout her academic career, she taught at East Mississippi Community College and Holmes Community College, where she also contributed to the development of the community college cosmetology curriculum. Ms. Coker's leadership includes a seven-year tenure on the Mississippi Cosmetology Board from 2017 to 2024, where she held the positions of President and Vice-President for three years.
